Please read our Privacy and Security Statement and our Terms and Conditions of Sale set out below. All orders made through this website are assumed to be in acceptance of these Terms and Conditions:
Privacy and Security
We collect all personal information about customers which is supplied by the customer while completing the online ordering process. We do not collect any information relating to credit or debit cards (including credit card number) as this is handled by Sage Pay using secure server technology (see below).
Gretna Green Group Ltd collects the details provided by you on registration together with information we learn about you from your use of our service and your visits to our web site.
We may collect additional information in connection with your participation in any promotions or competitions offered by us and information you provide when giving us feedback or completing profile forms. We also monitor customer traffic patterns and site use which enables us to improve the service we provide.
We may use your information to send you offers and news about Gretna Green Group products and services which we think may be of interest to you. We may contact you by post, email, telephone or fax for these purposes. We will not pass your details on to any third party.
Payments
If making payment for goods using a credit or debit card your order will be processed by Sage Pay whose secure server encrypts credit card information to ensure that transactions are safely completed over the Internet. Gretna Green Group Ltd will receive details of your order - but not your credit card number - as soon as Sage Pay have debited your account on behalf of the company. We will confirm receipt of your order - and give you a progress report on stock availability - within two working days. We are very confident about the transaction security we offer. However, if you still do not wish to make your purchase online with your credit card there are other ways to pay.

Our Terms and Conditions
Scottish Law
Relevant Scottish law will apply to the Agreement and the relevant courts of Scotland will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to the Agreement.
The Contract
The contract to supply goods by Gretna Green Group Ltd to its customers will be made when the Company debits the account of the customer. Gretna Green Group Ltd will e-mail the customer confirming the order made.
Returns
Customers have the right to cancel the contract. The period in which the customer can cancel the contract starts from the day the contract is initially made, and lasts until 7 working days from the day after receipt of the goods.(unless your goods are a made to measure order or are perishable items). In such cases, the purchase price including delivery and return postage cost will be refunded to the customer within 30 days, provided the goods are returned in a new and unused condition and in their original packaging. The 30 day refund period will begin on the day the consumer has given notice to cancel the contract. This cancellation right is in addition to your right to reject goods if they are not of satisfactory quality, fit for their purpose or match their description.
Returns Made to measure and Perishable Items
Once a made to measure order is received and the work is in progress, your right to cancel will not apply. Perishable items are non-returnable
For hygiene reasons ear rings cannot be returned to us unless of course they are faulty.

Pricing
The prices payable for goods that you order are clearly set out in the web site. If, by mistake, we have priced an item erroniously, we will not be liable to supply that item to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we dispatch the item concerned.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, the prices quoted include V.A.T. All other orders to the rest of the world will be exempt from V.A.T.
Delivery
All shipments to UK, Europe and North America will arrive in 5-10 working days, subject to errors beyond our control. If you do not receive your goods within the timescale stated please let us know immediately to enable us to track the parcel for you.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we can back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to change your order to something similar, or to cancel your order and accept a full refund if you would rather not wait.
Customs
When ordering goods for delivery overseas you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches the specified destination. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Complaints
Nothing in these conditions will reduce your statutory rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods. For further information about your statutory rights contact your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens' Advice
Bureau.

FOR WEDDING BOOKINGS
Deposits
Are required within 14 days of making a provisional booking to confirm and are all non-refundable:
Venue only
If you are booking one of our marriage venues only, the full payment is required to secure the booking.
Packages
If you have selected one of our wedding packages, a £300.00 deposit is required with the balance due no later than 30 days prior to your wedding.
Accommodation
£30.00 per room per night is required to secure your reservation for all Deluxe, Executive, Family and Balcony rooms and £100.00 per room per night is required to secure our Suites or Penthouse.
Banqueting
£10.00 per person is required for banqueting. A further 50% of the estimated total is payable at least 8 weeks prior to your wedding which is non-refundable.
The final numbers along with the remaining balance for all banqueting food and beverage is payable 30 days prior to your wedding which is non-refundable.
Room Hire
A deposit of 50% of the total room hire charge is required to secure your function room with the balance due 30 days prior to your wedding. Failure to send deposits as stated above will result in your booking being automatically released. Once paid all deposits are non-refundable.
Legal Information
Please note that the M10 documents are the responsibility of the bride and groom and the cost is not included in any of our fees. Failure to complete these within the given time scales along with the relevant documents and fees will result in your wedding not taking place.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be received in writing within 30 days of the date of the event.
Payment
We can accept all major credit cards and cheques. Cheques cannot be received less than 30 days before your wedding day.
Prices
Prices quoted for all products and services are correct at the time of agreement. They are inclusive of VAT at 20%, however these prices could change with any change in the rate of VAT.
Smiths at Gretna Green - may have to make changes for reason of Force Majeure, meaning unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond its control, the consequences of which neither our suppliers nor we could avoid, or a change in VAT.
Please note - that prices for meal/drinks/accommodation may be subject to increase due to market forces and inflation. Prices quoted in the current wedding brochure will be held for a maximum of 6 months from the date of agreement.
Accommodation - Check in time is 3pm and we cannot guarantee early check in but this can be requested for a select number of rooms.
Check out time is 11am.
Family Bedrooms
Can sleep 2 adults and 2 children, any additional beds will be charged at £20.00 per bed.
Group Bookings
We will only hold group accommodation for 21 days to allow your guests to confirm with deposits. Any accommodation not confirmed will be released for general sale.
Banqueting
We only accept restaurant bookings for parties of 10 and under. Should your guest numbers increase please note that we may not be able to accommodate this in our Restaurant but we could in our private dining area.. We do not allow table decoration in our restaurant but we do have private function rooms and private dining rooms should you wish to personalise your wedding meal.
If hiring a function room you must commit to one of our 3 course function menus from the current wedding brochure. Finger buffets/Late night cocktail buffets are an addition to a wedding meal and are served in the evening only.
Your menu selection is only two choices from the Starter, Main and Dessert and you must gather a pre-order from your guests and send this along with all your final function information and final payments no later than 30 days before your wedding day.
We do not allocate an exact function room, only the space required.
The room set up includes table cloths, napkins and cutlery. We can also, if requested, provide table confetti, candles, table plan and name cards.
There may be other events at the hotel on the same day as your booking. We can under certain circumstances offer exclusive use. Please contact us for a quote.
Child prices will be applicable up to and including 12 years.
Delivery of flowers, cakes, favours and table decorations must be labelled with your name and date of ceremony.
