Nowadays couples come from all over the world to marry, with all their guests in tow!

Whether you are visiting Gretna Green as part of a wedding or not its a great place to break a journey north or south, enjoy as a day visit or stop for longer at Smiths Hotel at Gretna Green and explore the nearby attractions in Carlisle, along Hadrian's Wall, the Lake District and Dumfries and Galloway.

Drive around the centre, passing the picturesque Sculpture Garden, which is surrounded by quaint shopping features and you arrive at the car park, which is flanked by rolling fields, with Highland and Belted Galloway cattle grazing nearby.

Near to the car park there are two children's play areas, perfect for young people to let off steam after the journey.
