Gretna Green Foodhall
The Foodhall at Gretna Green celebrates the best quality regional food and drink: great tasting, fresh food from local producers; food from people who really care about food and have their own story to tell and want to share it with you.

The Foodhall sits bang in the middle of the farmland owned and run by the Famous Blacksmiths Shop attractions owner, Alasdair Houston and his family, and they are passionate about the land and the environment.
Step inside this airy building situated just off the car park and you will find the Foodhall packed full of local produce - a real foodie's paradise. Most of the produce is from Dumfries & Galloway and Cumbria plus Scottish delights such as clootie dumpling! There is a good mix of fresh meats, veg, fruit and cheese as well as frozen pre-prepared dishes and a vast array of preserves, cakes, biscuits and daily baked bread.
Come along for one of the many seasonal food tasting events where you can meet the producers and take home a new recipe idea from the demonstration kitchen where guest chefs such as the talented chefs from Smiths Hotel will inspire you to try something new!
Celebrity chef Nick Nairn loved it when he visited soon after the opening 4 years' ago.
Nick is a true supporter of what businesses such as the Foodhall aim to achieve: "I'm a big fan of businesses who support local and small food producers. It's becoming increasingly difficult for the public to locate top-quality produce these days, so anyone who can make it just that little bit easier, and bring together the best of what Scotland has to offer, deserves a pat on the back. I wish them every success."
